PURPOSE:To make the entire disk type recording medium reproducing device thin and light in weight, to reduce driving force for vertically moving a turn table and a pickup and further to prevent the pickup from being applied by excessive impact in the case of the vertical movement. CONSTITUTION:A turn table 4 is made axially movable to a rotary shaft 24 of a motor 2 fixed to a unit base 1, and this turn table 4 and a pickup 5 are moved in the direction away from or nearer to a disk type recording medium 29 while being interlocked with the reciprocative operation of a common movable member to the unit base 1.
