PURPOSE:To obtain a crystalline aluminosilicate, having a new structure, suitable as a catalyst for catalytic cracking of hydrocarbon oils and excellent in hydrothermal stability by applying a thermal load to stabilized Y zeolite under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The aforementioned aluminosilicate has the following properties. (A) 5-15 molar ratio of bulk (SiO2/Al2O3) according to chemical composition analysis, (B) 0.3-0.6 molar ratio of Al in the zeolite skeleton to the whole Al, (C) 25.45Angstrom unit cell size, (D) =0.02 to 1wt.% alkali metal content expressed in terms of oxides, (E) exhibiting characteristic peaks near 50 and 180Angstrom in pore size distribution and 10-40% pore volume of pores having =100Angstrom pore diameter based on the whole pore volume and (F) with the main X-ray diffraction pattern of Y zeolite. The above-mentioned crystalline aluminosilicate is obtained by burning stabilized Y zeolite at 600-1200 deg.C for 5-30min at =20% lowering ratio of the crystallinility thereof.
