METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSLATING VOICE OF KOREAN TEXT

PURPOSE:To generate a synthetic Korean voice, which can be naturally and clearly heard and easily comprehended, concerning the Korean text voice translating method and device to generate the synthetic voice from the arbitrary Korean text of Hankul sentences. CONSTITUTION:A same-transcription allophonic word retrieval part 13 extracts a same-transcription allophonic word from the input Hankul sentence, and a phonemic length decision part 16 sets the length of a vowel in the word at an intermediate length between long uttering and short uttering by referring to a phoemic length rule 17. On the other hand, the attribute of the vowel length is registered on a word dictionary 12 and in the case of the same- transcription allophonic word, the vowel length is decided by analyzing the meaning.
