The stabilisation of high alkaline proteases in detergents and cleaners against the destabilising action of anionic surfactants is described. They are stabilised by using microorganisms transformed by mutated DNA sequences. The DNA sequences are obtained by starting from DNA sequences which code for high alkaline protease, modifying these DNA sequences in particular positions by directed mutations in such a way that the codon in which the mutation is located now codes for an amino acid which is different from the original amino acid and has a voluminous and/or ionic amino-acid residue.
