Compounds of formula (1) CHEM wherein R represents a sugar residue or an acylated derivative thereof; R1 represents a methyl, ethyl or isopropyl group; Y1 is -CH2, Y2 is -CH- and X represents CHEM [wherein R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a group OR6 (where OR6 is a hydroxyl group or a substituted hydroxyl group having up to 25 carbon atoms) and R3 represents a hydrogen atom, or R2 and R3 together with the carbon atom to which they are attached represent C=0, C=CH2 or C=NOR7 (where R7 represents a hydrogen atom, a C1-8 alkyl group or a C3-8 alkenyl group) and the group C=NOR7 is in the E configuration] or -Y1-X-Y2- represents -CH=CH-CH- or -CH2-CH=C- ; and R4 represents a group OR6 as defined above and R5 represents a hydrogen atom, or R4 and R5 together with the carbon atom to which the are attached represent C=0 or C=NOR8 (where R8 is as defined above for R7), and salts thereof. The compounds may be used to control nematode, acarine, insect or other pests.
