A method and an apparatus for constructing a foundation on which a substantially removable offshore element is located. The element is provided with downwardly directed skirt (3) and with a shaft (6) going through the element from its upper surface to its bottom surface. During installation on the sea bed (2) a slurry of sand and sea water is pumped through hoses (5) from a surface vessel (4) and down through the shaft (6) and out underneath the bottom surface (12) of the element (1). The hoses (5) are kept in position by a system of wires (7) and blocks (8). The water content of the slurry (9) will escape through the shaft (6) into surrounding sea water during the filling operation. The hoses (5) are removed after the filling operation is completed. Advantageously, the method can be applied for smaller platforms. and makes it possible to simply remove the element and carry out a new injection at a new installation site. IMAGE
