摘要
The mirror (A) is fixed to its holder (C) in such a way that the normal (E) to the mirror plane (F) forms an angle (alpha) with the normal (D) to the lens or spectacle glass plane. The mirror holder is rotatably fixed to the glass body of the spectacles by means of a rotary pin bearing (B). Normal vision (N), i.e. directly outwards, is not impeded by the mirror. By reason the comparatively short distance between the mirror and the pupil, there is a specific sight field enlargement (R1 to R2). The use of a rotary pin bearing allows larger or smaller mirrors to be installed, although in practice a mirror of 10 mm dia. is recommended, which gives an opening angle of approximately 20 deg. USE/ADVANTAGE - To enable cyclists to feel safer from overtaking motor vehicles.
