Capsules for oral admin. contain freeze-dried cultures of lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum, together with nutrients and acidulants to provide optimum nutrient and pH levels for the microorganisms. - The capsule shells are of hard gelatin soluble in the lower intestine. The capsules may also contain vitamins, minerals, aminoacids and citric acid.
