Hoist for upright barrels with gripper arms on support body - on which is fitted eccentric disc such as to control holding bar

In the barrel hoist, a support body (2), connectable to the hoist, has downwards swivelling gripper arms (4) with hooks (18) at lower ends, firmly engaging barrel beads, on the hoist lifting motion. In the support body is a vertically movable holding bar (5), whose top ends connect to the hoist. The bar lower end carries hinged coupling levers (6), whose other ends are hinged to the gripper arms above the hooks. An eccentric disc (9) is so fitted to the support body that it releases the holding bar in its open position, securing it in its closed position. USE/ADVANTAGE - For barrel handling onto and from lorries etc. with reliable barrel hold even in tensile relieved state.
