A load support frame for a truck has fixed uprights (3) fitted to the load platform and linked by roof braces (2) to support flexible covers (23) stretched over the frame. The uprights have an array of apertures into which are slotted the profiled ends of horizontal bars (4). The bars are also provided with apertures to secure horizontal cross braces (30). The operator secures the load items by building restraining frames around the items with the bars. The bars are stored in a compact space when not required.
