The bar spacer is used for arranging steelwork in reinforced concrete. The block (1) is made of concrete and has grooves (9) running both horizontally and vertically for the reinforcement bar to rest on. A central opening (10) is used for spacer arrangement. USE/ADVANTAGE - Concrete spacer is more homogenous than both plastics spacers; and is made by simple casting procedure.
