Cable conduit jointing system - uses metal jointing plates bridging adjacent conduit sections at top and bottom

The conduit jointing system is used to join 2 adjacent cable conduit sections (1), each comprising a conduit rail (3) with a rectangular cross-section, providing a reception space for a number of electrical cables, fitted with a front cover panel (7) or with switches and sockets (2). It uses metal jointing plates (9) fitted between longitudinal pairs of retaining lips (10) along the top and bottom longitudinal edges of the conduit rail (3). The width of the jointing plates (9) can be adjusted by insertion of a tool, eg a screwdriver, to match the spacing between the retaining lips (10). ADVANTAGE - Simple assembly of conduit system.
