Reconnaissance aircraft with adaptive control of aerodynamic surfaces - operates in conditions providing for centre of mass to remain close to centre of aerodynamic forces
Reconnaissance aircraft with adaptive control of aerodynamic surfaces - operates in conditions providing for centre of mass to remain close to centre of aerodynamic forces
The fuselage carries a wing assembly divided into two regions at selected distances from the centre of mass, with distributed redundant control surfaces. These regions are arranged symmetrically w.r.t. the longitudinal plane of the fuselage. The propeller (MP) and control surfaces (G) are linked to a controller (MC) responsive to signals from e.g. an altimeter, gyrometer, accelerometer and magnetic heading sensor. The resultant of the aerodynamic forces is constrained by the control to pass close to the centre of mass. An interface module (INT) cooperates with the processor (UT) of the command station to receive flight control data and operation control data. ADVANTAGE - Less conspicuous aircraft is lighter in wt. and can be disassembled easily.
