CONSTITUTION:In the seedling-selecting and feeding device of a transplanter for transplanting seedlings raised in a seedling bed in a main field, an accumulating belt 39 for feeding the seedlings P to a planting device and a detection belt 38 for delivering the seedlings P to the accumulating belt 39 are disposed and a detector 60 is disposed above the carrying end of the detection belt 38. When the speed of the accumulating belt 39 is interlocked with the planting device and the speed of the detection belt 38 is increased or decreased on the detection of the seedlings P with the detector 60 to deliver the seedlings P to the accumulating belt 39, the lowest speed of the detection belt 38 is slightly larger than that of the accumulating belt 39, thereby permitting to fill the intervals of the seedlings not detected with the detector 60 due to the difference between the speeds of the detection belt 38 and the accumulating belt 39 to regularly transplant the seedlings P.
