PURPOSE:To obtain the title candy having excellent flavor and texture, low calorie and low dental caries by boiling down an aqueous solution of sorbitol, adding crystal sorbitol and crystal maltitol to the boiled material, casting the blend into a mold, cooling and solidifying. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution consisting essentially of sorbitol is boiled down under normal pressure-in vacuum and blended with crystal sorbitol and crystal maltitol. Then the prepared blend is cast into a mold, cooled and solidified to give the aimed candy.
