DISPLACEMENT GAUGE USED FOR TIGHTENED SCREW TESTING DEVICE OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE: To accurately measure the elongation and angle of torsion of a bolt when the bolt is tightened by detecting the angle of torsion by bringing a potentiometer for detecting torsion into contact with the front end of the bolt and, at the same time, detecting the elongation by bringing a mobile frame into contact with the head of the bolt. ;CONSTITUTION: A bolt length adjusting means 25 attached to a fixed frame 31 fixes an adjusting screw 36 to a rotating shaft 35 by means of a locking screw 38 while the front end of the screw 36 is accurately brought into contact with the front end of a bolt 1 to be tested so as to fix the front end section of the bolt 1 in the axial direction and, at the same time, detects the angle of torsion of the bolt 1 by means of a potentiometer 44 for detecting torsion attached to the shaft 35. Another bolt length adjusting means 36 attached to a mobile frame 34 fixes another adjusting screw 37 to the frame 34 by means of a locking screw 39 while the front end of the screw 37 is accurately brought into contact with the head of the bolt 1. The frame 34 detects the elongation of the bolt 1, since the frame 34 is rotated around a fulcrum D and its front end is moved in upward or downward in accordance with the elongation of the bolt 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
