PURPOSE: To obtain a new single stranded nucleic acid probe capable of isolating without modifying double stranded nucleic acid by simply and quickly detecting the double stranded nucleic acid in high sensitivity. ;CONSTITUTION: A single stranded nucleic acid probe obtained by introducing a substance (psoralen, coumarin, anthracene, pyrene, etc.) capable of covalently binding to nucleic double stranded nucleic acid in or after hybridizing and a labeled substance (fluorescein of a fluorescent substance, Rhodamine, DTTA, etc.) to a single stranded nucleic acid fragment containing a sequence capable of specifically hybridizing with a double stranded nucleic acid in a sample nucleic acid.
