The invention relates to Theophylline, a human and veterinary therapeutic product, proposed as an ingestible poison for eliminating moles. It is added to baits consisting of earthworms, or to baits having a different composition. The ingestion of these baits causes the death of the mole in a few hours following symptoms which have strong analogies with the symptoms of intoxications which occur accidentally in man.
