The microwave heating device uses a hollow microwave line (1), e.g. a coaxial cable or hollow waveguide, coupled to a microwave source (3), with a flow path for the fluid passing through at least part of the microwave line. Pref. the fluid flow path is provided by a hose section inserted in the hollow waveguide, which is transparent to the microwaves and through which the fluid is passed via a pump (14), or by a channel provided in the dielectric material of the coaxial line. USE/ADVANTAGE - For continuous chemical synthesis under heat and pressure. Very compact construction. Efficient.
