The transmitted adjusting magnitude is derived from an allocated broadcasting program signal. It is then transmitted together with the program signal to influence its reproduction level at the reception side. It is used for selection of a reproduction dynamics, deviating from the program signal dynamics. The adjusting magnitude is transmitted as an amplitude variation of the stereo pilot tone and is correlated to the instantaneously received broadcasting program signal. Pref. the adjusting magnitude precedes the allocated program signal by a fixed time period. At low program signal level, the amplitude of the pilot tone may be increased and vice versa. USE/ADVANTAGE - Improved reception and reproduction of transmitted signal, without disturbing program signal and time shift between program and adjusting signal.
