The invention relates to an apparatus for fastening fixing clamps (1) on conveyor belt ends (2). The fastening apparatus has a snaker (3) and a pressing head (4) having a guiding channel (5) for a stamp (6) and fixing clips (7) which are driven by means of the stamp through guide holes (8a, 8b) in the legs (9a, 9b) of the fixing clamps (1) and through the pushed-in belt end (2). The snaker (3) has centring plates (12), which engage between the hinged curves of the fixing clamps, on one side and centring wedges (14), which engage into V-shaped recesses of the lower clamp leg, on the other side. Perfect centring of the fixing clamps is thereby ensured, in such a way that the guide holes in the upper and lower clamp legs are aligned with one another, thereby ensuring that the fixing clips are driven in perfectly.
