The invention relates to a bird manger, of the type including a feed inlet box (1) which is open in its lower part and overhanging a dispenser spout (2) for the said feed. According to the invention, the manger includes a sliding flap (5) allowing or not allowing the feedstuff to arrive within the box (1), and the spout (2) is formed of two elements (3, 4), called first and second elements, which are articulated with respect to the box (1) and are normally contiguous in the working position, the manger further including a single control rod (6) the displacement of which makes it possible either to make the said flap (5) slide, or to separate the two elements (3, 4) of the spout (2) from one another, by causing them to pivot and the spout (2) to open, for example in order to allow it to be emptied and cleaned.
