P Process for the production of pressing dies, in particular for the production of discs with optical reading, consisting, by means of a standard commercial device, in recording in the form of micro-cuvettes (14), a signal corresponding to information coded in a layer of heat-sensitive resin (11) deposited on a rigid substrate (10) and capable of being etched under the effect of radiation (f) coming from a laser diode, said layer being previously covered a thin reflective metallic coating (12). BR/ This process consists in removing the reflective coating and the protective layer to discover the micro-cuvettes in order to constitute a master disc, in depositing on the resin layer a thin metallic coating to match the profile of the micro-cuvettes, then in depositing a final metallic layer on the coating to form a printing matrix comprising micro-reliefs corresponding to the micro-cuvettes and finally pressing the said optical disks or the like to be produced later on said matrix. /P
