PURPOSE: To provide the new emulsion composed of an emulsion-polymerized polymer having a specific structure and exhibiting excellent adhesive force to a hydroxyapatite structure, etc., when applied to the adherend and dried at normal temperature to form a film. ;CONSTITUTION: The emulsion of an emulsion-polymerized polymer composed of a unit derived from (meth)acrylic acid ester and a unit derived from a vinyl compound having SO₃R group is produced by the soap-free polymerization of a (meth)acrylic acid ester of formula I (R₁ is H or a 1-5C alkyl; R₂ is a 1-5C alkyl) and a vinyl compound of formula II (R₃ is H or a 1-5C alkyl; R is H, alkali metal, etc.) at a molar ratio (ester: vinyl compound) of 99:1 to 50:50. The compound of formula I is preferably methyl methacrylate and the compound of formula II is preferably p-styrenesulfonic acid. The polymerization is carried out preferably by adding 60 pts.wt. or less of a mixture of the compound of formula I and the compound of formula II to 100 pts.wt. of water and polymerizing the monomers at room temperature to 100°C for 10min to 24hr.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
