Process for the preparation of 4,4'-(phenylenediisopropyl)-bis-(2,6-dialkylanilines)

摘要

A novel process for preparation of 4,4'-(phenylenediisopropyl)-bis(2,6-dialkylanilines) of the general formula IMAGE by reaction of an appropriate diisopropylbenzene with an appropriate aniline in the presence of catalytic amounts of aluminium chloride is described. The 4,4'-(phenylenediisopropyl)-bis(2,6-dialkylanilines) are used as crosslinking agents for epoxy resins, as chain extenders for polyurethanes, for the preparation of hydrolysis-protection agents for polyurethanes or for the preparation of UV stabilisers for coatings.
