The mfg system provides a line bundle (18) by combining successive line sections (5), fed to an assembly point, at which the end of each line section is fitted into a terminal block (16) supported by a carrier (15), via a gripper tool (20), using controlled movement of the carrier and/or the gripper. The line insertion step is repeated until the full number of line sections for the line bundle are inserted in the terminal block before moving the carrier to a discharge station.
