Domestic coffee-maker for filter coffee - has upward opening lid for water container and filter bowl with hollow hinge for hot water delivery

The coffee machine has an upward-opening lid (3) covering a water container (1) and a filter bowl, with a hot water pipe (4) delivering into the bowl. The hinge (10) for the lid is provided on the inside of a rear wall section (5) of the water container, the hinge being hollow. The hot water riser (15) fits into the "bottom" of the hinge and the delivery pipe for the bowl into the "top" of the hinge. There is a projection by the hinge which prevents the lid from opening through more than ninety degrees. The hinge has an overflow opening which is closed when the lid is closed and open when the lid is open, so that hot water can flow back into the container. ADVANTAGE - No need for separate hinged hot water delivery pipe.
