The air conditioning system has a pump (P) and a compressor (Q) with a dividing wall in between. The pump has a first short circuit channel joining the suction chamber and the pressure chamber, and is fitted with a first control valve. The compressor has a second short circuit channel with a second control valve. When heated the first channel is closed by the first valve and the second channel is opened by the second valve. When cooled the first channel is opened by the first valve and the second channel is closed by the second valve. USE/ADVANTAGE - Compact arrangement which simplifies the installation of the parts within a vehicle. It uses a viscous fluid sealed in a chamber.
