A cam ring (13) engages the tube (12) inside by a threaded joint. The ring outer peripheral face has a peripheral toothing (13b), and a drive train (6) transmits a drive force to the ring toothing to rotate the cam ring. The drive train contains an end gear (63) fastened on the tube and meshing with the peripheral toothing. A transmission gear (60) of the drive train meshes with the end gear. The shaft (6') of the transmission gear is held by the camera body (10) and the stationary tube. The motion of the end gear is limited in a radial direction of the stationary tube. USE/ADVANTAGE - For a zoom lens camera with maintaining a preset spacing between the end gear and the peripheral toothing axes.
