The device comprises at least one primary conveyor (22) for transporting wires via transfer clips (15), and at least one secondary conveyor (7) for transporting transfer plates (8) which can receive at least one component (12). Part (7a) of the secondary conveyor is located along with part (22a) of the primary conveyor in an insertion area (23). The device further comprises an automatic loading station (13) for loading the components onto the transfer plates, and a means for transferring the transfer plates from the secondary conveyor to the primary conveyor. The method and device relate to the technical field of wiring loom manufacturing methods and machinery.
