A device reporting an abnormal collision occurrence on a vehicle to a central station is proposed. The device consists of first means for the continuous recording of accelerations acting on the vehicle and of second means which evaluate the recorded measurement values according to fixed criteria and, if a collision occurrence to be reported is detected, activate a communication device assigned to the second means.
