INTEGRAL DETECTOR FOR LASER REMOTE SENSOR

PURPOSE: To dispense with the usage of separate detectors for transmission and reception so as to accomplish monitoring of an output and detection of reception by using a single integral detector for monitoring laser transmission and retroreflection pulses. ;CONSTITUTION: A integral detector is provided with a laser sensor device 10 and a beam splitter 12 for extracting transmitted laser energy 21. A telescope 16 is arranged for collecting laser energy 22 reflected from a target 19. An integration spehere 13 is arranged for receiving the extracted transmission energy 23 and the laser energy 22 reflected from the target 19, and a single detector 14 connected to the sphere 13 is arranged for selectively detecting the extracted transmission energy 23 and the laser energy 22 reflected from the target 19. A scattering plate 15 is arranged for preventing a photon directly generated from a first scattering phenomenon inside the sphere 13 from entering the detector 14. The integral detector 20 is used for energy measurement of a transmission pulse 21 and a reflection pulse 22 and for standardization of an energy ratio between them.
