APPARATUS FOR RECLAIMING EDIBLE OIL FROM USED EDIBLE OIL

PURPOSE: To reduce at good efficiency a use edible oil into a usable oil by cooling a used edible oil, introducing the cooled oil into the positive electrode side of a cell partitioned with a porous diaphragm, placing a watery liquid in the negative electrode side and applying a DC power between the electrodes. ;CONSTITUTION: A watery liquid is poured into a holding part 24 formed between the body 4a of a holding tank and a porous diaphragm 21 through a feed pipe and a take-in pipe. A hot used edible oil is fed through a primary oil feed pipe into a spiral pipe in a cooling tank, cooled therein, fed from a take-out port into an oil filter to remove impurities, and fed through an oil feed pipe 28 into an edible oil holding part 25 surrounded with the porous diaphragm 21. A DC power is applied between a negative electrode 22 contained in the watery liquid holding part 24 and a positive electrode 23 contained in the edible oil holding part 25 to electrophoretically move impurities to the side of the negative electrode 22 and to move low-molecular substances contained in the impurities through the porous diaphragm 21 to the liquid holding part 24, and the reclaimed edible oil is obtained through the oil feed pipe 28 from the side of the positive electrode 23.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
