PURPOSE: To simply detect meandering of a belt conveyor by these pressure difference by detecting air pressures in paired positions symmetric to the center of the conveyor belt in a device where a circular arc-shaped conveyor belt travels along a lower half inside surface of a cylinder pipe by being levitated by the air. ;CONSTITUTION: A conveyor belt 2 bent in a circular arc shape travels along a lower half inside surface of a cylinder pipe 1 by being levitated by the air, and conveys a conveyance material 5 placed on an upper surface. In this case, in the lower half of the cylinder pipe 1, a large number of paired respective detecting holes RL1, RR1 to RL4, RR4 are respectively bored in both side positions symmetric to the center line CL of the conveyor belt 2. Thereby, when the conveyor belt 2 meanders, a pressure difference is detected. On the other hand, a pair of dampers 8L and 8R are pivotally fixed by respective shafts 9L and 9R to a chute 7 continuing to an input port 6 opening in the top part of the cylinder pipe 1.
