PURPOSE: To easily decide the cause of and the countermeasure for a casting defect by limiting the range of inputted information for inference to the cause into the information obtd. from a casting and constructing a knowledge base. ;CONSTITUTION: Each operating step is realized with a processing circuit 1 realized with a micro computer, etc. The decision, cause and countermeasure of the casting defect and stored as the knowledge base in a memory 2 with an except on the casting operation.
