The Forward Looking Infra Red (FLIR) processing system (20) consists of an input processor (21), read signal converter (22) and output processor (23), all controlled by a common timing circuit (24) and a main processor (25). During each scanning cycle, the system first processes the data from the detected image and then the data from a reference temperature source.
