The standardized step module according to the present invention is provided with a pair of flanges located on the side of the actual step and having the shape, viewed in lateral cross section, of a parallelogram, the bases of which are parallel to the tread-board of the step and are separated by a distance equal to the height of the step. In the case of a reinforced-concrete step, the said flanges are formed by a metal structure with the abovementioned parallelogram shape, provided with suitable reinforcements and embedded in a concrete casting. According to the invention, the metal structure forming the step flange is provided with suitable means for joining to other adjacent modules, said means being generally formed by through-holes into which, for example, screws, nuts or fixing bolts are inserted. As a result of the shape of the structure forming the flange of the module according to the invention, it is possible to achieve a high production output of these modules at a low cost, when they are made of reinforced concrete.
