Curable material mixtures containing (a) an epoxy resin, (b) an iron-arene complex of the formula I [R1(FeIIR2)a]ab(+) ab.[X](-) (I in which, for example, a and b are each 1, R1 is isopropylbenzene, R2 is a cyclopentadienyl anion and X- is SbF6-, and (c) an amine stabiliser, for example a 2,6-dialkylaniline, where the mixture contains 0.1-10 % by weight of component (b) and 0.02-5 % by weight of component (c), based on the epoxy resin (a), are particularly suitable for the production of prepregs which have a long shelf life and are rapidly curable by thermal means after exposure to UV light, and can be compression moulded to give laminates having excellent properties.
