The invention is more especially designed for cleaning objects made of metal mesh such as aprons and gloves used when working with meat. It consists of a device comprising a tray (5) for collecting and removing waste water, mounted above which are two long rotating brushes (10, 11) so arranged that the ends of their bristles pass between each other as they pass through the central line (N) joining their two axes. The brushes (10, 11) are rotated in opposite directions and are sprinkled with a cleaning agent through sprinkler bars (20, 21). A protective housing covers the brushes (10, 11) and defines an access slot (19) over the centre part of the line between their axes. The objects to be cleaned are introduced through the slot (19) and moved back and forth [up and down] once or several times between the brushes (10, 11). IMAGE
