PURPOSE: To foster an interest and the desire for learning of mathematics by enabling infants and the juvenile to exactly learn numbers and calculation of numbers which are the basis for mathematical learning in an early period of their mathematical learning. ;CONSTITUTION: The sizes of length, area and volume are embodied and expressed with modeling by using respectively arbitrary numbers of number indicating bodies 1 consisting of unit bodies 11 of a square or cubic shape of which the area and volume are one unit, multiple bodies 12 of which the area or volume is integer times the area or volume of the unit bodies 11 and of which the faces are segmented and displayed in unit areas, segmenting bodies 13 which segment and display the faces of the unit bodies 11 to 1/10 unit, triangular bodies 14 which are formed by bisecting the rectangular faces of the multiple bodies 12 of the prescribed rectangular or parallelepiped shape to two pieces of right-angled triangles by their diagonal lines, etc. The numbers and the methods of calculating the numbers are made to be exactly understood and convinced together with the basic and elementary mechanism of numbers, theory of ways of thinking, significance of mathematical words and symbols and differences in mathematic language and daily language by making combination use of the instinctive recognition of the embodied observation of the actual state with consideration.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
