PURPOSE: To improve a sensible heat recovering efficiency by a method wherein a sensible heat recovering is performed between one hydrogen storing alloy tank heated by high temperature thermal medium and a heat storing tank between each of two sets of hydrogen storing alloy tanks while directions of moving of hydrogen between the tanks are set to be opposite to each other and a sensible heat exchanging is carried out between each of the hydrogen storing alloy tanks. CONSTITUTION: A sensible heat exchanging is carried out between one hydrogen storing alloy tank heated by high temperature thermal medium at the hydrogen storing alloy tanks 1A, 1B and the first heat storing tanks 1A, 1B while hydrogen moving directions between the first, second hydrogen storing alloy tanks 1A, 2A and between the third and fourth hydrogen storing alloy tanks 1B, 2B are set to be opposite to each other. Then, a sensible heat exchanging is carried out between the hydrogen storing alloy tanks 1A, 1B and sensible heat recovered to the heat storing tanks 14, 15 is supplied to the other hydrogen storing alloy tank 1B or 1A. At the second and fourth hydrogen storing alloy tanks 2A, 2B, a sensible heat recovering is carried out between one hydrogen storing alloy tank 2A or 2B utilized for a thermal load 18 and the second heat storing tanks 20, 21 and then a sensible heat exchanging is carried out between the hydrogen storing alloy tanks 2A, 2B.
