PURPOSE:To readily divide a bread dough, etc., in a fixed volume by disposing specific closing mechanisms in the bottom part of a bread dough hopper in upper and lower two stages, using the space between the closing mechanisms as a measurement chamber, continuously dividing and measuring a bread dough in the measurement chamber and subsequently dropping the divided and discharged dough pieces on the prescribed positions of a carrying conveyer. CONSTITUTION:A closable cutter 4 for cutting bread doughs and an outlet shutter 5 for discharging the bread dough pieces are disposed at the upper and lower stages of a discharging passageway 3 in the bottom part of a dough hopper 2, and closing timing controllers 41, 51 for controlling the timing of the opening and closing of both the upper cutters 4 and the lower shutter 5 are further disposed. A passageway space between both the stages is employed as a measurement chamber 6, and the bread dough is measured and divided into dough pieces in a fixed volume. The measured and divided dough pieces are dropped on a moving conveyer 9 below the hopper 6 to perform the objective measurement and division of the bread dough. The closing timings of the cutters 4 and the shutter 5 are controlled by designating the moving distance of the conveyer 9.
