PURPOSE:To decrease the output resolution by providing an arithmetic circuit and a requantizer outputting a requantized output signal whose resolution is reduced. CONSTITUTION:An input digital signal X(z) supplied from an input terminal 1 and a requantized output signal Y(z) supplied from a requantizer 4 are inputted to an arithmetic circuit 3, and an output signal A(z) expressed in equation V in which constants b-e are optional to satisfy equations I-IV at the same time is generated and outputted by the arithmetic circuit 3, and the output signal A(z) is supplied to the requantizer 4. The requantizer 4 sends a requantizing output signal Y(z) being the result or reducing the resolution of the signal A(z) supplied from the arithmetic circuit 3 to an output terminal 2. Thus, the output resolution is reduced.
