PURPOSE: To prevent a fire hose from being endlessly drawn out and dropped on one's head at the time of the drawing-out of the hose by installing a receiving frame on the downward opening of a fire hydrant box, and by providing a clearance for passing the fire hose between the lower peripheral outer circumference of a guide cylinder that has been suspended nearly in the same position as the guide ring and the inside diameter of the guide ring. ;CONSTITUTION: In the normal condition, a fire hose 3 is wound up and housed on the receiving frame 4 inside a fire hydrant box 1; while at the time of occurrence of a fire, a door 1b is opened, and after water has been supplied to the fire hose 3 by opening the hydrant body by means of a start switch, a fireman rushes to the fire site while holding a water spray nozzle 7 and drawing out the fire hose 3. In this case, since the fire hose 3 passing through the clearance 9 between the guide ring 4c in a falling preventive mechanism B and a guide cylinder 8 receives a tension because it is stretched straight from the wound condition by the hydraulic pressure due to the feeding water, the inner periphery of the guide ring 4c in the clearance 9 abuts on the outer circumferential surface of the inwardly inclined guide cylinder 8, so that a brake is applied to the hose for preventing it from being drawn out and dropped while being unwound by its own weight.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
