PURPOSE:To obtain a hair cosmetic, containing a crosslinked type fine polymer particles prepared by copolymerizing a monofunctional oil-soluble monomer with a polyfunctional oil-soluble monomer and film-forming polymer, having excellent hairdressing properties and capable of imparting good touch to set hair. CONSTITUTION:A hair cosmetic containing (A) 0.1-10wt.% (especially 0.4-2wt.%) crosslinked type fine polymer particles obtained by copolymerizing 100pts.wt. monofunctional oil-soluble monomer (e.g. ethyl acrylate or methyl vinyl ether) having one ethylenically unsaturated bond and =300 deg.K glass transition temperature of the polymer with 0.2-2pts.wt. polyfunctional oil-soluble monomer (e.g. divinylbenzene) having plural ethylenically unsaturated bonds and (B) 0.1-10wt.% (especially 0.5-2wt.%) film-forming polymer (e.g. polyvinylpyrrolidone). This cosmetic is capable of imparting good touch to the hair and has both excellent hairdressing and hairredressing properties.
