EARTH PRESSURE REDUCTION TYPE SOIL IMPROVEMENT METHOD AND DEVICE THEREOF

PURPOSE: To reduce the increase in earth pressure by the discharging volume of the soil improving material and remove the influence of the earth pressure on the existing structure adjacent to the soil improving zone, by partly restricting the discharge of the soil excavated by a screw. ;CONSTITUTION: Soft ground or other ground to be improved near an existing structure is excavated to a specified depth bay the use of a soil improving device 1 provided with an excavating and agitating head 3 having delivery outlets 13, 14 of a soil-improving material and an agitation blade 8 at the front end of a screw head 2. After excavation, the soil-improving material delivered to the excavated soil is agitated and mixed with the rotation to improve the soil and at the same time the excavated soil is removed within the allowable range not to affect the earth pressure for the existing structure, by a screw 28 partly equipped at the external periphery of the screw rod, to naturally decrease the earth pressure without disturbance of the underground condition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
