The invention relates to a process for filling recesses in an object with a material which becomes fluid once a specific temperature has been passed, e.g. wax, in particular for filling recesses in friction bearing bushings. The invention is characterized by the following features: the object is dipped in a bath of the liquid material; the recesses are closed off during the time the object remains in the bath; the object is removed from the dipping bath, the recesses remaining closed off for the time being; the recesses are unblocked once the material therein has solidified.
