The dedicated motor drive, for the spindle of a spinner or twister, has a shrouding (6) extending over the spindle bearing housing (5). - part of the control units (7-9) for the electro-motor (3) are integrated in the shrouding (6), with feed (20) for power and the control signals, and distribution leads (10-13) to the electro-motor (3).
