Sliding nozzle plate-metal frame fixing structure

A structure comprises a sliding nozzle plate attached to a molten metal vessel and a metal frame. The sliding nozzle plate is made of a refractory material having a sliding surface on one side and a non-sliding surface on the other. A metal case (2) surrounds all sides except the sliding surface and a molten metal passage hole (4) passes through the plate. The plate fits freely within the metal case with projections on the plate (6) locating in mating concave location portions on the metal case. Bent projections (7) maintain a constant thickness of mortar bonding (which is equivalent to the height of return sections). Each of the projections fits on the concave portions leaving a clearance of 0.1-1.0 mm in the sliding direction of the plate.
