The figure given shows the general layout and the TDI arrangement (3) has a system (5) of switches controlled by the control unit (10) and a memory unit (4) with several memory cells (40-51).The photodetector elements (20....25), activated and deactivated by the control unit, are connected through the switch system with the memory unit, so that each element is joined with all the memory cells through at least one switch. The switches are controlled so that the detector signals produced from each pixel of the picture field are integrated in one of the cells of the memory unit.
